LEAFDE

LEAFDE is an Augmented Reality installation where “the story of the plant” takes center stage. Ton Nieuwenhuizen explores how the narrative of plants can be used to tell the human story. Plants are not only given care and shelter but are also allowed to tell their (his)story. The Plant Asylum tells the story of the plants, and thus indirectly the story of the people in the lives of these plants. Complicated issues such as inclusivity, subsistence, multiple perspectives, and ownership are discussed in a simple way. LEAFDE is a “living installation” that makes people aware of our own environment, as well as our skills needed to survive as a society.

LEAFDE can be experienced through July 1, 2023, at Tetem.
