…create a mirror that is a window into another world of sagas and fairy tales.

When I look in the mirror I see you is no ordinary mirror. This magic mirror not only shows yourself, but mixes these images with images of nature and images of legends from the surrounding area. In its current form, the mirror tells the story of the Witte Wieven, Olde Minneke and the Wandering Lights.

“This Magic Mirror is a window to another world – the world of sagas and fairy tales. It shows us what escapes our eyes in everyday life and reminds us of the magic of nature.”

It works with artificial intelligence that generates live images. A camera records your movements and sends the information to the AI, which creates new combinations from them. The installation tracks and reflects movements, creating an interactive game between mirror and visitor. Both children and adults (parents) can discover stories through play. Because of our way of working with live AI generation, it is possible to add more or different stories to the installation.

“This installation tells timeless stories using new technology, allowing people to reconnect with their environment in a contemporary way.”
