…explores how the process of natural growth can be stimulated by sound and other media.

As someone unaccustomed to living in a house with a backyard, Lena C. became fascinated by the persistent weeds that sometimes made her feel like an outsider as they moved closer to the territory they had occupied.

“I have found that these plants adapt to human activities and avoid areas where my roommate and I frequent, while thriving in untouched areas.”

This observation forms the basis of Lena’s concept: exploring the negotiation between human and nonhuman worlds.

“It also made me wonder if there are aspects of nature that we could never fully inspect.”
