Cross-TIC is a regional project aimed at supporting and mentoring the creators of the future. As a creator, you can be selected for different cross-media development trajectories. More information about these trajectories can be found on our trajectory page. There are only two conditions: you as a maker must have a link to Twente, and the idea you want to develop must be cross-medial. In other words, your idea must dare to cross the boundaries of artistic disciplines.
Cross
“Cross” comes from the term “cross-media. It means that the projects we select use new media and that these media influence each other.
TIC
‘TIC’ stands for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. These three qualities are very much present in Twente and form an important starting point for all trajectories and collaborations carried out under Cross-TIC.
From 2021 through 2024, Cross-TIC will be carried out by nine core Twente partners (Bibliotheek Almelo Theater Hof 88, Werkplaats Diepenheim, Oyfo, PLANETART, Schouwburg Hengelo, Theater Sonnevanck, Stichting Oldenzaalse Musea, Tetem and Concordia (also the penciller)) and Twente’s cultural partners and educational institutions. The project is supported by the province of Overijssel and the 14 municipalities that make up the Cultuurregio of Twente.
