Janko Bartelink is a multimedia artist and cultural entrepreneur. Working with a mix of analog and digital media, he creates cinematic experiences that are often contemplative in nature and include themes from existentialism and science fiction. He has also been producing electronic music under the name Hadamard since 2002 and runs the record label Subject Matter Records. Janko is also founder and director of the educational development agency Studio Z through which he shapes impactful creative learning experiences with a multidisciplinary team of media designers and educational developers.

For Cross-TIC, Janko is working on a Time Based Media project called “Nowhere.” Within this project, Janko is researching the potential of Unreal Engine to create an interactive CGI video installation with a semi-linear narrative. In doing so, he will play with contradictions such as the virtual and real worlds, mental and physical reality, nature and culture. In the installation Nowhere , space, images, sound design and music will merge into a cinematic experience that is not the same twice.
